On the 2nd of November 2007, Noel Ahern, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Finance with special responsibility for the Office of Public Works officially launched Fergus D’Arcy’s latest book entitled “Remembering the War Dead”.
In his speech, the Minister noted
This book is unique in that it reflects the international nature of these graves that mark the resting places of people from over twenty different nations… …I would like to extend our thanks to Professor Fergus D’Arcy for his most thorough and professional research into this subject, and for giving us a new insight… …into events that occurred in the lifetimes of our own parents and grandparents, and indeed may have involved or affected some of them directly.
